Her expertise spans clinical practice in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, teaching and mentoring of students and residents, clinical research, and global health. She has contributed to multiple publications, with notable work in inflammation, immunology, and pediatric GI conditions as well as childhood malnutrition, and was recognized as an AGA Fellow in 2025. She is also a co-founder and currently Chair of the Board of Barakat Bundle, a non0-profit working to reduce infant and maternal mortality in India.
