- Dr. Joel De Ocampo has been a medical doctor for 23 years. He graduated medical school in 1992 and is a quadruple board certified neurologist and sleep specialist. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital (Top Regional Hospital by US News and World Report). He finished his neurology training as Chief Resident in Pittsburgh, PA at Allegheny General Hospital in 1998. He went on to complete three years of post residency fellowship subspecializing in various areas of neurology including stroke medicine, neuromuscular disease, epilepsy and sleep disorders. He trained for a year at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed a stroke fellowship in 1999. He has also completed a year of fellowship training in neurophysiology in the 2000 and is board certified in neuromuscular medicine. He is also board certified in neurophysiology and treats both pediatric and adult patients with epilepsy. He trained at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and completed his third fellowship in 2000. He double board certified in sleep medicine from the American Board of Sleep Medicine as well American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He started private practice in 2001 and was attending neurologist in multiple hospitals in the upstate of South Carolina including Greenville Hospital System, Bon Secours St Francis Hospital System, Oaktree Medical Center, Anderson Memorial Hospital and Palmetto Baptist Hospital System. Since relocating to Scottsdale, AZ in 2006, he has maintained his private practice and is currently affiliated with Banner Desert Medical Center, Scottsdale Healthcare (Osborne, Shea & Thompson Peak Hospitals) and Paradise Valley Hospital.
