- Dr. Joel Hardin is Medical Director for the Emory Adult Congenital Heart Center. He is board-certified in adult congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiology. His clinical expertise includes the entire spectrum of congenital heart diseases among pediatric and adult patients. He has a special focus on cardio-obstetric care of women with congenital heart disease who are pregnant or need advice on the cardiovascular risks that might be associated with pregnancy. Dr. Hardin is a combat veteran of military service, serving as an infantry Battalion Surgeon with 1st Marine Division deployed to Iraq in 2004. He attained the final rank of Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps - Fleet Marine Force.
