- Growing up and parenting, even under the best circumstances, are full of challenges. When you or your child is struggling, it makes each of those challenges even more difficult. Dr. Jennifer Koch specializes in helping adults and children navigate these difficult times whether they are brought on by life stressors, grief, behavior patterns, or illness. She works with individuals and their families to evaluate their circumstances, to provide personalized recommendations, and to address their concerns so that they may return to a more comfortable, peaceful way of life.
Dr. Koch completed her psychiatry residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harvard's MGH/McLean Hospital program. She is board certified in Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Koch has offered personalized care in private practice in Lexington since 2014. She has worked with adults, college students, teens, and children through a wide range of concerns including family transitions, career changes, relationship discord, high school and college application stress, confidence and mindset in athletics, major medical illnesses, social anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, and trauma.
Dr. Koch's extensive past experience includes working in a hospital child psychiatry clinic offering psychiatric evaluations and thoughtful medication management for children and adolescents. She served as the Director of a prominent cancer center parent program, providing guidance and expertise to parents with cancer and supporting parents and families from initial diagnosis through treatment, and sadly sometimes through saying goodbye, legacy leaving, and grief.
