- Dr. Franasiak graduated from The College of William & Mary Summa Cum Laude with focus in Biology and Biochemistry and at graduation was awarded the James Frederic Carr Memorial Cup. He went on to pursue medicine at The University of Virginia and was named to the AOA and GHHS and was awarded the Shannon Z. Award for the most well-rounded medical student and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award recognizing excellence of character and service to humanity. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina and was elected Education Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Franasiak completed his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (RMANJ) in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson fellowship program.
Dr. Franasiak is a board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, board certified Reproductive Endocrinologists, board certified High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) in Embryology and Andrology, and lead physician of RMA’s South Jersey – Marlton Office. He is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Chief Medical Officer of IVI-RMA American within IVI-RMA Global, the largest Assisted Reproduction group in the world, with more than 70 clinics in 13 countries.
Dr. Franasiak has been invited to speak nationally and internationally and has authored and contributed to over 100 peer reviewed publications, published chapters and abstracts. He is the editor of a text book on Recurrent Implantation Failure. He serves on the Editorial Board for Fertility and Sterility and the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as Ad Hoc Reviewer for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction Genetics, Human Genetics, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, and Human Reproduction.
