• Jared L. Ross is an Emergency Physician with over 22 years of experience as a first responder, EMT, paramedic, firefighter, SWAT team member, and EMS educator. Jared is clinically active as a physician and continues to work as a Paramedic. Dr. Ross is the President of EMSEC, LLC which provides medical education and consulting. Dr. Ross has served as the assistant medical director for Detroit Fire Department EMS and as a tactical physician for St Ann Police department Special Response Team (SRT). He is known as the creator of the “Zero-th Responder” model to improve law enforcement-EMS integration and for his expertise in the use of Ketamine. Dr. Ross is currently the medical director for two EMS education programs and presents regularly at national and international conferences. His research interests include behavioral emergencies, critical care, and substance abuse management.
