- Dr. Halgrimson is a Board-Certified Baylor Trained Psychiatrist who is proud to serve adolescents and adults with Psychiatry of Austin. Dr. Halgrimson treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, and other cognitive conditions. Dr. Halgrimson is passionate about helping patients reach their personal and professional goals. Dr. Halgrimson is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and has served in several leadership roles with the Texas Medical Association, as well as with various nonprofit organizations in his community to support fair and equally accessible health care. He’s passionate about volunteering his experience to support mental health in underserved areas for those suffering from severe mental illness. Dr. Halgrimson is published in a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and has served on the board and as the President of the Austin Psychiatric Society. Dr. Halgrimson has expertly presented testimony to the Texas Legislature in support of strengthening mental health organizations throughout Texas. He’s presented on behalf of organizations like the Texas Medical Association, Texas Pediatric Society, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Halgrimson enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and spending quality time with his family and friends.
