Summary
- I am the founder and medical director of New ReGeneration Orthopedics of Florida and Regenexx Tampa Bay with locations in Sarasota, Tampa, and St Petersburg as well as Gold Coast Orthopedics in North Miami.
I specialize in the new field of Interventional Regenerative Orthopedics and was the first Regenexx provider in Florida. Offering the nation's most advanced and safe bone marrow stem cell and platelet-derived non-surgical procedures for the treatment of injuries and arthritis with the largest clinical database registry in the world.
I am a former officer, physician, and educator in the Air Force for 11 years – including personal consulting physician to the vice president and president at the White House (2002-2006).
I am board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, Pain Medicine, Family Medicine, and am a registered musculoskeletal sonographer. I also teach ultrasound and fluoroscopic-guided procedures in the spine and peripheral joints for all of the course levels at the not-for-profit Interventional Orthopedic Foundation where I was also the musculoskeletal ultrasound education program director and member of the curriculum advisory committee.
I am an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Principles and Practice at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lakewood Ranch - previously a full-time Professor for 5 years and course co-director/co-developer for an innovative and unique medical school course in Integrative Clinical Nutrition.
Completed fellowship training in research, teaching, and curriculum development at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2005 and the Florida Medical Association Leadership Academy through the University of Florida in 2019-2020.
