Summary
- I am a physician-scientist (pediatric hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplant surgeon) focused on finding new ways of treating children with lethal genetic diseases- like EB, Hurler syndrome and others.
In addition to my research and clinical care, I serve as Dean of the University of Minnesota Medical School and Vice President for Clinical Affairs at the University of Minnesota. I also serve as the Campus Public Health Officer for the U of M School system. I also serve as Board Chair for the University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians), a multi-specialty group practice for the University of Minnesota Medical School faculty. Lastly, I am the co-lead for our joint clinical enterprise, M Health Fairview.
