He held the Miller Family Chair in Depression Research at UCLA before becoming Professor Emeritus in 2018.
    He founded the Los Angeles TMS Institute in 2018 to bring advanced procedural treatments out of the lab and into clinical availability in Southern California. TMS, and particularly accelerated TMS treatments, and treatment with ketamine, have been shown to be of particular benefit to patients with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD.
