She completed her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Strich School of Medicine where she served as Class President and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in Neuroscience & Behavior from Barnard College at Columbia University.
