Summary
- Being a native from Morocco is a pride i carry in my professional and personal life. The culture is that of giving, of hospitality, and love for people. There, I completed my medical education before coming to the US. A near-fatal car accident before my graduation deeply influenced my approach to patient care. The fear, the wait, the anxiety, all plagued my recovery. But also, a deep gratitude and a sense of letting go and trusting the medical community and the oath they took to care for me.
After moving to the U.S., I completed internal medicine training in NY, followed by pulmonary and critical care specialization at Tufts and Harvard-affiliated hospitals in Boston. Now, in California, I specialize in a wide range of respiratory and critical care conditions, integrating AI into practice to enhance patient care, teaching, and research. Through telehealth, I’ve expanded critical care and pulmonary across 19 states, while my global clinical research efforts bridge communities with innovative treatments.
As an Asst Clinical Professor at UC Riverside and a board member of CHEST, I combine my passion for teaching and innovation. I create dynamic learning experiences, from virtual escape rooms to AI education tailored to clinicians and researchers.
In my personal life, my husband and I enjoy time with our dogs, exploring new places, and learning languages—I speak five, including Arabic, French, Spanish, English, and Italian. Thank you for reading and getting to know me. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “The definition of success–To laugh often and much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived–this is to have succeeded"
