Dr. Williams is a Hospitalist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She is a native New Yorker who brings passion and vitality to her team, hospital and community. Dr. Williams previously worked at Sentara Health for 9.5 years where she held various leadership roles, including President of the Medical Executive Committee at Sentara Careplex Hospital, physician member of the Sentara Medical Group Board of Directors and Chair of the Wellness & Engagement Committee. Dr. Williams is the President of the Society of Hospital Medicine Hampton Roads Chapter. She is an advocate for healthcare worker well-being and safety. She believes in cultivating a culture of compassion, inclusion, belonging, and allyship in medicine, so that we can all thrive.
