- A graduate of Davidson College, Dr. Withrow served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Peru (1966-1968)
He was among the first classes of Physician Assistants from Duke University School of Medicine 1975 and graduated from UNC School of Medicine in 1982.
He completed his residency in Family Medicine in 1985 and founded The Family Doctor .
He sold the practice to Med First in 2015 and is no longer affiliated with the practice.
Dr Withrow is married to Naomi Slifkin, RN and has 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren in Asheville, N.C.
He enjoys sailing, hiking, kyaking and international travel.
