Summary

  • I have always been fascinated by who we are as human beings and what our possibilities are, beyond what seems to be our physical and intellectual limitations.

I have chosen the specialty of PM & R, since its training allows the opportunity to educate, train and treat our “ disabled patients” and provide them with not only the most technologically advanced treatments but also with courage and motivation to transform their lives, becoming productive, self-sufficient and passionate about who they really are beyond their circumstances and limitations.

Upon completing my residency program in PM & R at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center of Columbia University, I spent one and a half years as a visiting scientist at the National Institute of Health.
I am Board Certified in both PM & R and Pain Medicine specialties.
I had been accountable for PM & R residency program at UCI Medical School during 1980-1982.

I have joined St. Jude Medical Center in 1987, where I had served as the Medical Director of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation programs, Chronic Pain Programs as well as Concussion clinic until September 2020, when I decided to complete in- person clinical practice and establish a Tele-Medic Chronic Pain Program.

In my spare time, I enjoy filmmaking, exercise, and poetry.
