  • Dr. Frank Melo graduated from the University of Florida College of Health and Human Performance, earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas in Costa Rica, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He is board-certified in Addiction Medicine and Family Medicine.

    Dr. Melo has experience treating youth and adults with substance use disorders since 2011. He served as medical director for an opioid treatment program and staff physician at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation providing medical services and addiction care as part of the Comprehensive Opioid Response-12 (COR-12) program in Minnesota. Presently, Dr. Melo functions as medical director at Solstice Health & Wellness, an outpatient substance use disorder treatment program in Sarasota, FL. The program offers a suite of integrated therapeutic interventions and support services including outpatient withdrawal management, addiction medication, mental health management, primary care, individual and group counseling, and recovery coaching.
