Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Specialist and Physician-Scientist: I am trained in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Public Health, Genetics, Epidemiology, and Clinical Pharmacology. I am clinically competent across many disease areas, which has provided me with transferable skills across many therapeutic domains. I cared for complex, low-income, and diverse patients and participated in several clinical trials, focusing on patient safety and pharmacovigilance. My research centers on the effects of race/ethnicity and genetic ancestry on disease risk and drug response among demographically and socioeconomically diverse populations.
