After completing medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, Dr. L'Heureux completed his residency in Orthopedic surgery at New York Medical College. Dr. L'Heureux was then accepted into the prestigious spine surgery fellowship program at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN.

After completing his spine surgery fellowship in Minnesota, Dr. L'Heureux opened his medical practice and began treating patients on August 8, 1997. Dr. L'Heureux utilized the experience he gained training at Twin Cities Spine Center to exclusively treat Orthopedic surgery patients emphasizing evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders.
Dr. L'Heureux focuses on patients with a wide variety of spine problems, including treatment of the cervical spine, the lumbar spine and the thoracic spine. Dr. L'Heureux was only the 2nd medical provider in the State of Oklahoma who had the distinction of obtaining active fellowship in the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), the leading international organization for the treatment of spinal deformities.
Dr. L'Heureux has now retired from surgical practice. However, he continues to actively evaluate patients with orthopedic disorders and treats those patients on an out patient basis.
