Overview of Dr. Isidro

Dr. Tracey Isidro was awarded Top Doctor’s Women in Medicine Award for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York, Women of Excellence Award, and the national Most Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award from the Association of Academic Physiatrists. She also made history as the youngest doctor on Broadway for the musical HERE LIES LOVE.

Dr. Isidro continues to provide excellent bedside manners and is committed to being the best physician and cheerleader for her patients.

She manages sports, musculoskeletal, and spine conditions and uses conservative treatment with diagnostic and interventional ultrasound in caring for her patients. She incorporates active listening and a holistic approach where she teaches her patients about their condition and empowers them to take an active role in their health. She includes aspects of Lifestyle Medicine like physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and stress management in her treatment plans. Because of her diverse culture, ability to speak Spanish, and her opportunity to work with people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, she is mindful of social determinants of health in helping her patients get better.

In addition, Dr. Isidro is very passionate about leadership, advocacy for women physiatrists and physician wellness, medical education, and mentorship. Dr. Tracey Isidro and her twin sister Dr. Stacey Isidro have spoken nationally and written on topics including tips on how to be happy, healthy, and successful and gave a talk at AAPM&R on Lifestyle Medicine. Moreover, she is dedicated to supporting the future physicians through workshops, lectures, and mentorship for career development as an active member of AAPM&R, AAP, and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM).

Outside of medicine, you can find her making fun dance videos and highlighting medical content on Instagram with her twin Dr. Stacey Isidro (@drstaceydrtracey), volunteering with Achilles International, and exploring new restaurants.
