Summary

• Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified plastic & reconstructive surgeon who specializes in advanced cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, including facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring, breast surgery, fat grafting, and microvascular reconstructive surgery. He is one of only two plastic surgeons in South and North Dakota to perform microvascular free flap breast reconstruction for patients with breast cancer who undergo mastectomy. He performs over 600 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures each year.    He specializes in facial and body cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, fat grafting, transgender surgery, and general cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
  
  Dr. Nguyen is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, where he teaches and mentors medical students and surgical residents at all levels.  He is also the Medical Director of Vivaz Medical Spa, where he performs a wide spectrum of non-invasive cosmetic procedures, including Fractional CO2 Laser, BBL™ Broadband Light, Laser Hair Removal, Botox®, Facial Fillers, Kybella®, and CoolSculpting®.
  
  
  He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the South Dakota State Medical Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
