Summary
- Founder & CEO of World Gateway Perinatal Consultants, TelemedMFM - Maternal-Fetal Telemedicine, I work with organizations to improve equal delivery of high-risk pregnancy care regionally, and nationally using Telehealth, developing partnerships, and teaching.
Through the years I emerged as a strong advocate for Women in medicine & leadership through one-on-one motivational development, speaking engagements and community service. I authored my first non-fiction book, PUSH, THEN BREATHE.
My last 20 years in Women’s Health as OBGYN and MFM highlight my tireless calling and utmost privilege to provide high-risk pregnancy care for my fellow Women and their unborn babies with compassion and realism.
For the past decade I have held various leadership positions: corporate, maternal-fetal, practice, perinatal line and maternal transport director in the ambulatory and inpatient services arenas as well as a key contributor to several C-suite initiatives.
In addition to leadership positions, I serve as clinical professor for Tenwek Kenya OB-GYN residency program, PAACS OB-GYN Council and participate in the ABOG-QE program. Over the years I organized and lectured at numerous peer-review academic and clinical conferences as well as authored research papers in medicine and leadership.
Aside of the academic pursuits, for the past 15 years I have provided care for the underserved medical community internationally through medical missions to Latin, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa, organizing and teaching “Train the Trainer” programs for the indigen OB-GYN health providers. Nationally I served rural OB-GYN and MFM medical community as LT physician.
I served my country as officer and physician in the USAF where I completed my medical studies, specialty training and received the highly sought USAF Health Professions Scholarship award.
I live in San Antonio with my family. An avid triathlete, I enjoy travel, cooking, dancing, and non-fiction writing.
