Summary
- Hello! I’m Julio Bracero-Rodriguez, a bilingual (English+Spanish) pediatrician in Dallas, Texas. I was born, raised, and trained in Puerto Rico and I always wanted to become a pediatrician! I have national-level experience in advocacy, medical education, and international health projects. Though I focus on general pediatrics, I have some specialized training in pediatric infectious diseases.
I thrive in environments in which patient and family education are rewarded, not rushed. A priority of mine is to improve efficiency through patient involvement and the proper use of technological innovations. The healthcare system in the U.S. is utterly complicated – you may spend 60 minutes in the office, but only 10 of those minutes were spent with the doctor! The rest was (mostly unnecessary) paperwork.
I cut through all of this red tape through some common sense and the help of (HIPAA-compliant) technology. If you need your child’s medical records, I can email them to you. Has the pharmacy not received your prescription? I want to be the first one to find out. Need to ask a question after the encounter? Feel free to text me via your smartphone.
In other words, I practice compassionate, 21st-century medicine.
