Summary
- I am a hospice and palliative care physician, mother, scientist, author, poet, and radio host of “Dying To Talk” inspired to engage our nation in a new conversation for end of life care. Drawing attention to what makes life worth living, I routinely ask my patients what I call "the Magic Wand Question." Only by learning what is truly essential for a person and family can I deliver care that makes a difference. I see my job description as eeking out every last moment of joy. Having trained in Hematology, I am particularly interested in fostering a formal integration of Hematology/BMT services with Palliative Care.
