Summary
- I am a board certified general surgeon with specialty training in endocrine surgery. I have a particular interest in treatment decision making, and strive to educate my patients about all the possible treatment options for their thyroid, parathyroid or adrenal disorders and counsel them to make treatment decisions that are medically sound, but importantly that fit with their values and preferences.
I also practice broad-based general surgery and take emergency general surgery call. My research interests include patient and provider decision making, surgical outcomes, and surgical education research. I have a specific research interest in the assessment and evaluation of resident technical skills, as well as measurements of teaching effectiveness.
