Summary
- I am a fellowship-trained general surgeon specializing in complex abdominal wall reconstruction. My practice spans the full spectrum of routine and complex hernia treatment including robotic and laparoscopic repairs, component separation, non-mesh hernia repairs, diastasis rectus management, and sports hernia management.
In addition to complex hernias and abdominal wall reconstruction, my clinical interests include surgical endoscopy. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in these areas.
I specialized in complex abdominal wall reconstruction at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center fellowship in advanced abdominal wall surgery. Prior to fellowship, I studied physiology and developmental biology at Brigham Young University before earning my medical degree from The Ohio State University. I completed my general surgery residency at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where I also earned a Master of Public Health Sciences and completed a research fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery.
