- David "Sandy" Sandlin, MD, PhD, is a Board Certified Neurologist and Clinical Fellow in the Ocular-Motor and Vestibular Oto-Neurology program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He was previously on the Neurology Faculty at Emory's Brain Health Center where he practiced General Neurology with a special focus in dizziness. He completed both Neurology Residency and Internal Medicine Internship training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also contributed to the Post-Concussive Visual Motion Sensitivity collaboration between Emory, Georgia Tech, and The Shepherd Center. He obtained both his MD and his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he investigated the effects that shockwaves produced by explosive blasts have on both the peripheral and central vestibular pathways. His long-term career goal is to establish the southeast's preeminent Vestibular Neurology clinic where he will treat patients with dizziness, perform clinical research in Vestibular Oto-Neurology, and train the region's next generation of neurologists to excel in recognizing and treating both peripheral and central causes of vestibular symptoms.
