- David Meyers, MD MPH, a 1972 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine with an master’s degree in preventive medicine and epidemiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and trained at Creighton University and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Preventive Medicine, and Clinical Lipidology. He was elected to FACP, FACC, FAHA, FACPM, FASPC, FNLA, FCCP, and FACA status. He specialized in Clinical and Preventive Cardiology at the University of Nebraska (Associate Professor) and the University of Kansas (Professor), obtained substantial grant support, published 149 papers and 4 book chapter, helped train numerous students, residents, and fellows, and was awarded the Kansas University distinguished teaching award. After practicing at St Luke's Hospital in St Louis, he retired in 2022.
