Summary

  • In private practice in "the quiet corner" of Connecticut (the north east corner near Storrs, CT; home of the famed UCONN Huskies men and women's basketball teams) I continued to learn new surgical techniques: minimally invasive breast biopsy surgery, sentinel Lymph Node biopsy technique and I expanded my skills in laparoscopic surgery to include: laparoscopic appendectomy, advanced hernia surgery, and laparoscopic bowel and intestinal surgery.

I also refined my skills in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, using nerve sparing technology, nuclear guided parathyroid surgical techniques, and a delicate, gentle surgical technique to garner excellent recommendations from the chief of endocrinology, Carl Malchoff, at UCONN medical center.

I moved to central Minnesota, to a critical access hospital, to continue my surgical career in a small community. I brought new technology into a small community hospital: laparoscopic intestinal and bowel surgery, minimally invasive hernia surgery, and advanced breast cancer care (in particular the sentinel lymph node biopsy which is necessary for breast cancer staging).
I have specialized in laparoscopic anti reflux surgery, in particular the LINX anti reflux surgery.

My friendly and empathic bedside manner helps patients get through their rough times. We discuss the problem, what ever that might be, we go over the surgical options, and then we get through the surgical process together.

Before, during and after the actual surgery, I am there with them. I answer the questions before and after surgery. I see my patients in the office both before surgery and afterwards during their recovery and in the post op office visits.

The many kind cards and letters that I have posted on my web site are a testament to my caring bedside manner and surgical skill.
