Summary

• Dr. Bowers received his medical training at Marshall University before completing a three-year Internal Medicine residency through the West Virginia University program. He then went on to complete his specialized Ophthalmology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident. Dr. Bowers is one of few who received board-certification in both Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology and now specializes in advanced cataract and refractive surgery using the latest iLASIK™ technology. He is also a certified LenSX laser cataract surgeon. Dr. Bowers has over 25 years of medical & surgical experience and has performed thousands of surgical procedures. Dr. Bowers is very active in ophthalmic medical missions and helped establish the faith-based non-profit organization known as Health In Sight Ministry of Roatan ( www.healthinsightministry.org ) which provides medical and ophthalmic care to indigent residents of Honduras.
