  • Dr. Daniel Tobin is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University where he serves as a clinician-educator and medical director for the Yale Primary Care Residency Program. He is also the Governor Elect-Designee for the CT Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Tobin is a recipient of the residency program’s Teacher of the Year award as well as the Clinician-Educator of the Year award from the New England region of the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Laureate Award from the CT Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Tobin lectures nationally about safe opioid prescribing, has been featured on National Public Radio and in other media outlets for his work, and is the author of multiple medical manuscripts and book chapters about medical education, primary care, and safe opioid use. In Connecticut, he has worked with the CT Department of Consumer Protection, the CT Department of Public Health, and the CT Alcohol and Drug Policy Council to promote rational opioid prescribing and safety practices across the state. Dr. Tobin has also served as a consultant to the CT Bar Association and has partnered with state lawmakers to develop and promote safe opioid legislation. Dr. Tobin also lectures on medicolegal issues and serves as a physician expert witness in medical malpractice cases.
