Summary
- For almost two decades I have been dedicated to the treatment of patients with addiction and addiction related disorders. In my practice, the emphasis has always been the "talking cure" with medication as adjunctive to the doctor patient relationship. My philosophy and approach is greatly informed by the idea that intimacy and unmet attachment needs are often a critical issue when someone becomes addicted. However, these needs can not be addressed until the addiction is being treated. As a certified group psychotherapist, I employ both group and individual psychotherapy in the treatment of patients.
