  • Dr. Bruce Stevens received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly Marquette University Medical School) located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1992. He went on to complete his Preliminary Medicine internship and Psychiatry residency there as well. Dr. Stevens is board certified in Psychiatry by the National Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and treats adult and geriatric patients. 

    Dr. Bruce Stevens has been in practice since 1996. For the first 14 years of his career, he was a solo practitioner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During those years, he gained a significant amount of experience providing outpatient care, inpatient psychiatric treatment, consult-liaison services, and nursing home work. From 2009-2017, Dr. Stevens served as the Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry for Bon Secours Health System, Richmond, VA (both inpatient behavioral health units at St. Mary's Hospital and Richmond Community Hospital).


    Dr. Stevens has held many esteemed positions throughout his career, including: Co-medical Director for Behavioral Health with Bon Secours Medical Group; Chairman of the department of Psychiatry at Richmond Community Hospital; Medical Director of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) at Bon Secours; Associate Medical Director of the Adult and Geriatric Inpatient Units at Roger's Memorial Hospital; Vice Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at St. Michael Hospital; Section Chief of the Section of Psychiatry at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center and Director of the Psychocutaneous Clinic at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Additionally, he has served 15 years as Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine for the Medical College of Wisconsin.
