Summary
- 2018 International Elective-Botswana
Will be a one-month rotation in Molepolole, Botswana in coordination with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The focus of this elective will be to acquire experience providing care in medicine wards and outpatient clinics with a high prevalence of TB and HIV in a resource-challenged environment.
2016 Outpatient Elective-Southwest Community Health Center
Rotated for one month in an outpatient safety-net clinic in Portland. Provided primary care services for a population of uninsured impoverished patients with a high prevalence of multiple chronic health conditions and poor health literacy.
2015–2018 Central City Concern Old Town Clinic
Provided comprehensive primary care services to a patient demographic with a high prevalence of homelessness and mental health disorders under the patient-centered medical home model. Received additional training in addressing substance use disorders and social determinants of health in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.
2017 American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine
Attended two-day Point-of-Care and General Medicine ultrasound CME conference. This conference reviewed general POCUS principles, ultrasound image interpretation, and provided hands-on experience with focused ultrasound examinations across multiple organ systems.
