    The practice of medicine evolved in a way unimaginable to most. Providers sit for hours on end strapped down in front of a computer, forced to type technical details; instead of caring for patients. Although needed, manual entry of documentation causes stress to providers and patients alike, leading to catastrophic burnout, high costs, and ineffective care. Sadly, after years of practicing medicine this way, typing in front of the computer is now symbolic of healthcare, the new normal.

    Although nascent, AI is promising because it automates the mindless non-clinical, non-value-added processes embedded in the healthcare system.
