  • Dr. Wei was born and raised in the Midwest. Before graduating high school, he had completed biomedical research that would be published in peer-reviewed literature. He continued his research activity throughout his time at Cornell University, where he received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.

    In 2007, Dr. Wei attained his medical degree at the University of Michigan, after which he did his surgical residency at a Level One Trauma Center - Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. His training completed with a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the renowned Kleinert Institute in Louisville, KY.

    Dr. Wei has worked in a scientific and clinical capacity throughout Europe, Asia, Central America, and the US, including funded positions in basic and clinical research, Urgent Care, General Surgery, and Hand Surgery. He is currently a board-certified hand surgeon at Valleywise Health.
