Summary

  • With triple board-certification in pediatrics, sleep medicine, and pediatric pulmonology, I embarked on my career in academic medicine in 2017 following medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, pediatric residency at the University of Colorado/Children's Hospital Colorado, pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Colorado/Children's Hospital Colorado, and sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado/National Jewish Health. In the years since, I have cultivated a deep expertise in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine, particularly in high-altitude respiratory and sleep pathophysiology in infants and children. In my clinical and administrative roles, I have championed expansion of pediatric pulmonary and sleep care for children throughout the medically underserved western Rocky Mountain region. Through these efforts, qualified bilingual staff (QBS) certification in Spanish and English, and a core belief that access to high-quality pediatric pulmonary and sleep care should not depend upon a child's geographic location, language, or other social determinants of health, I aim to relentlessly pursue the goal of expanding access to care while also advancing the fields of pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine.
