Summary

  • Patients who are told that they are "fine," yet they do not feel "fine" have a chance to find out what is wrong with an in-depth wholistic functional medicine approach.

I am board certified in Family Medicine and certified in functional medicine by IFM and the Kalish program. I practice functional medicine to provide a deeper dive into patients medical problems through both the medical interview and detailed labs of the microbiome, hormones and metabolism. I am also starting to add functional genetics testing.

Both tele and in person visits are available.

For more information on an integrative functional medicine approach to healthcare that includes short videos please visit my website at https://aleksandragmd.com/

As an employed physician and as a patient, I have experienced mainstream medicine to resemble an assembly line form of care. Patients who are motivated to understand why they have a medical problem, rather than just wanting a pill to solve the problem, often need longer appointments than typical 10-20 minute visits. So I practice "slow medicine" under the integrative functional medicine approach.
