Job Summary:

UW Radiology is seeking a motivated thoracic radiologist to join our dynamic Thoracic Imaging Section at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor on the CT (Clinician Teacher) or CHS (Clinical Health Sciences) Track. Our section interprets chest radiographs and CT scans across the full spectrum of thoracic imaging in a fun, intellectual, and collegial work environment. Members of the thoracic imaging section are actively involved in a variety of national and international professional societies and recognized locally for their clinical skills and passion for teaching.

  • Full home PACS work stations are provided for all after-hours and call duties with opportunities for remote work for some day shifts.
  • Fully integrated Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and reporting system with a suite of post-processing and artificial intelligence applications.
  • New state-of-the-art reading room and imaging equipment.
  • Strong partnerships with clinical departments and UW-Madison's world class Department Medical Physics.
  • Opportunities for collaborative research and partnerships with industry.
  • Protected teaching time daily for trainees and students on service.

For appointments hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track:
The successful applicant will provide patient care at UW Health approved locations, participate in resident and medical teaching within the scope of the medical practice. The successful applicant will participate in administrative, and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

For appointments hired on the Clinician Teacher (CT) Track:
The successful applicant will provide patient care at UW Health approved locations, participate in resident and medical teaching within the scope of the medical practice.

Responsibilities:

60% Interpretation and reporting of chest imaging studies including CT scans and radiographs
20% Teaching and supervision of students, residents, and fellows
15% Scholarly activities including research or developing educational materials and developing or expanding clinical programs
5% Participating in multidisciplinary activities

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
MD, DO

Qualifications:

Thoracic Radiology fellowship training or equivalent experience - Required

License/Certification:

Required
WI Medical License eligible by start date

Required
Board certified or Board eligible by American Board of Radiology (ABR
