  • Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology are jointly recruiting a full-time advanced fellow at the Research Associate/Acting Instructor level. This is a full-time, 12-month service period, annual appointment. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch.

    This is a year-long fellowship program with the goal of becoming an expert in BMT and immunotherapy. Rotations will include outpatient and inpatient BMT (autologous and allogeneic, long-term follow-up, etc.) and immunotherapy services. The fellow will initially function as a primary provider with direct patient care responsibilities and will have increasing levels of clinical team leadership over the course of the year. Approximately 8 months will be devoted to clinical activities with the remaining time available for clinically focused research projects.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate should have a career interest in hematopoietic cell transplantation and/or immunotherapy and should have completed a fellowship in hematology or hematology­-oncology (or foreign equivalent).

    Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligible or certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1 B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

    Compensation Details

    $100-137k

    The annual base salary range for this position is from $100,000 to $137,500. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
