UPMC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our team in Erie, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiothoracic surgeries on patients, including bypass, valve repair/replacement, and other complex procedures

  • Provide pre-operative consultations and post-operative care to patients

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in cardiothoracic surgery and contribute to research initiatives

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

  • Adhere to established protocols, standards, and guidelines for patient care

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution

  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery

  • Valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain

  • Excellent surgical skills and ability to perform complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals

  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Willingness to stay current with advancements in the field of cardiothoracic surgery
