Crystal Run Healthcare, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a patient-centric full-time Endocrinologist to join our growing team in Middletown, NY.

Position Highlights:

The Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Department is a well-established, state-of-the-art practice serving patients throughout Orange County, Hudson Valley, and the lower Catskills.

  • Fellowship-trained, physician-led, patient centered team-based care environment
  • Stability of an reputable practice with a large referral base of over 400 providers spanning 70 medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialties
  • Support staff to assist with patient care and workflow including Nutritionist & Certified Diabetes Educator support!
  • Autonomy and independence in practice, including a strong affiliation with local tertiary care hospital(s)
  • Desirable Monday – Friday schedule; manageable and equitably shared rotating on-call support and local inpatient rounding (i.e., 1:6 to 1:7-week rotations)

Position Responsibilities:

An ideal candidate would be based primarily out of Middletown, NY, with the potential of sharing some limited time weekly in our Monroe, NY office.

  • Investigate, diagnose, and treat full range of endocrine system disorders, which encompasses everything from diabetes to hyperthyroidism to osteoporosis
    • We provide comprehensive diabetes care using a team-based approach to care – full-time team of endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators and nutritionists
    • On-site screening for osteoporosis
  • Comprehensive medical and procedural endocrine care within a team of 14 Endocrinologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians
  • Start your days in multi-specialty outpatient offices and finish your days rounding at the local hospital

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training program(s)
  • BC in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties
  • Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency/comfort with thyroid biopsies highly preferred but not required.

New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $235,160 to $336,714 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
