Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to work with our subspecialized cancer team to help manage the overall health of our patient's undergoing treatment and those transitioning into survivorship follow up. This physician will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and in this role will support comorbidity management and annual checkups for non-oncology related diagnoses. You will have unique access to innovative digital monitoring tools and research opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop our new embedded primary care model and to support a unique panel of patients alongside a team centered on providing comprehensive care services to our patients.

This position is a full time ambulatory position within our Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at the Ochsner MD Anderson main campus site in New Orleans, LA. There are no inpatient or weekend call responsibilities.

Ochsner is the leading clinical oncology program in the Gulf South Region.  For over 75 years, we have been dedicated to cancer research and new cancer treatment developments, with more clinical trials than anywhere else in the region.  In the past year, Ochsner has provided both personalized and state-of-the-art care to more than 15,000 cancer patients. Our multi-disciplinary approach, advanced technologies, and focus on clinical research and our Precision Cancer Therapies Program, define our approach to cancer care. We are in the midst of building a 100,000 ft2 expansion to the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center, reflecting our commitment to leading cancer care in the region and beyond.

Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of only seven MD Anderson Cancer Center partners in the country and the only one in Louisiana. It joins a collaborative network of hospitals and health care systems dedicated to advancing MD Anderson’s mission to improve the quality and accessibility of cancer care and research. As such, Ochsner MD Anderson patients in southeastern Louisiana receive care based on the same protocols and practice standards provided at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, and benefit from integration with its clinicians and researchers. Ochsner MD Anderson experts adhere to the philosophy, process and guidelines of MD Anderson’s clinical leadership, and they provide a full range of multidisciplinary care options, including medical oncology, surgery and radiation.

Aside from outpatient patient care responsibilities, candidates have the opportunity to participate in or develop clinical research studies, teach fellows and residents, and contribute to the development of this exciting new program.

Highly competitive salary is based off experience and training. Ochsner is also excited to offer sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance.
