SSM Health in Wentzville, Missouri seeks a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, emphasizing preventive care, health maintenance, and the management of chronic conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • $20,000.00 SIGN-ON
  • Optional 4-day work week
  • No rounding
  • Limited call: 1:12 with RN Triage (Friday 5p to Monday 7a)
  • Tenured Staff

  • Lab and IMagery on site
    • MRI, CT, Mammography, bone density, X-Ray, Ultrasound)
    • Cardiology and podiatry rotate 3x a week
  • 9 providers; (6 MD, 3 NP) each provider has (3) exam rooms
  • Designated MA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
  • Perform routine physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide preventive care services.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed.
  • Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs to enhance the delivery of care.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and evidence-based practices through continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Missouri or eligible for licensure.
  • Excellent clinical skills and bedside manner, committed to providing compassionate care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare team members.
