Job Title: Family Physician

Salary: $220,000 - $275,000 DOE
About Us: Porter-Starke Services, Inc. is a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) based in Valparaiso, serving northwest Indiana. We also operate Marram Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with locations in Gary, Hebron, and Portage. Marram Health Center participates in the NHSC/HRSA Loan Repayment Program. We welcome candidates who require J-1/H1-B visa sponsorship.
Position Summary: We are seeking a Family Physician to join our team. This role provides medical and educational services within the scope of your professional license in the state of Indiana. The position serves offices in Gary, Hebron, and Portage. Individuals with supervisory experience or those interested in future leadership roles (e.g., Medical Director) are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform physical assessments using observation, auscultation, palpation, and percussion.
- Treat patients per standardized protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Obtain and evaluate medical histories, educate patients/families on acute, chronic, and preventative care.
- Prescribe medications as needed.
- Collaborate with the care team to provide patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and ensure compliance with NCQA, TJC, and state regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote preventative care and educate patients on prescribed treatments.
- Foster respectful, collaborative relationships with patients and families.
- Ensure all personal licenses and certifications are current.
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Family Physician preferred.
- Experience in a primary care setting is required.
- Current, unrestricted Family Practitioner licensure in Indiana or ability to obtain it.
