Job Summary:
The Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison, Wisconsin is recruiting an outstanding urologist to join our nationally recognized program. We are seeking a general urologist to focus on clinical care, however we will consider urologists with fellowship training and would modify clinical duties accordingly. This position will provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical care, while advancing the field of urology and training the next generation of physicians. Candidates are expected to establish an academic program and disseminate their findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national professional meetings. Service to the institution and profession are also expected. Hire at the Associate Professor level requires approval by the SMPH faculty appointments and promotions committee. Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin, is situated on several scenic lakes, and is frequently cited as one of the best cities in which to live. Responsibilities:
80% clinical duties include office visits, ambulatory procedures, state-of-the-art surgery, and call.
20% academic responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and other trainees, development of a focused clinical research program, dissemination of findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at regional and national urology and subspecialty meetings, and institutional service appropriate to rank.

Qualifications:
Completion of Urology Residency required. Candidates must have excellent clinical skills and a strong history of academic accomplishment.
For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
License/Certification:
Required
MD - Physician - State Licensure
Must have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License; Must have board certification or board eligibility in Urology through the American Board of Urology; Must be eligible for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges.
