Cortica is seeking a Pediatric, Psychiatric of Family Nurse Practitioner for our Scottsdale, AZ team.

We serve patients with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, speech and language disorders, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, genetic conditions, and more. Our interdisciplinary team includes pediatric neurologists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, EEG technicians, counselors, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior therapists (ABA), music therapists, and more.In this role, you will perform patient intakes, screenings, and assessments, considering each patient and family's unique needs. You will provide ongoing family education and collaborate with specialists for comprehensive care, including nutrition evaluation, dietary support, and medical management. You will work with child neurologists and pediatricians to manage care for attention, sleep, headaches, behavior, medication, and follow-ups.
What will you do?
- Complete thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments, considering each patient and family's unique needs.
- Triage referrals for acute needs to other Cortica team members.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
- Utilize the nursing process, scientific reasoning, and critical problem-solving within the scope of responsibilities defined by the State Board of Nursing, including placing orders and screening tests per approved protocols and guidelines.
- Provide ongoing education to families on topics such as autism, sleep, pill-swallowing, sexuality, navigating the school system, and more.
- Provide nutrition evaluation and dietary support with our speech and occupational therapy team, based on the SOS feeding approach and Cortica’s nutrition framework.
- Work with child neurologists and pediatricians to manage care for attention, sleep, headaches, challenging behavior, medication, and follow-ups.
Requirements:
- You are knowledgeable about diagnoses and therapies for Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Speech and Language delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Headaches, Insomnia, Epilepsy, and other neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
- You have a minimum of 12 months in pediatric practice in an outpatient setting, preferably in behavioral neurology and/or Neurodevelopmental Medicine (NDM) and pediatric behavior disorders, including autism.
- You are proficient in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation (Gold standard).
- You have telemedicine skills, including the ability to use multiple forms of technology simultaneously to document while connecting with patients (EMR, virtual wait rooms).
- You hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification required to practice within your clinical domain and can obtain cross-state licensure as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base pay range: $127,000 to $175,000 based on skill level, experience, education, and location.
