  • Indian Health Service is seeking a BC/BE Pathologist (Anatomic and/or Clinical) in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Join our team providing Pathology and Lab Services in a low-volume, low-stress environment, to an underserved Native American patient population. The position also assists in providing Lab Director/Consultant services to other smaller sites across the Phoenix IHS.     Practice Details: The hospital provides routine pathology and lab services to the medical and surgical departments. The workload is low volume and low pressure, primarily from routine general surgery/gyn procedures, blood bank operations, and outpatient clinics. Lots of cytology, and opportunity to "gross" specimens. Interact with patients as well! The lab is CAP and AABB accredited. Enjoy a collegial work environment with fellow pathologists, cytotechs and histotechs, and referring staff, with primary care providers and ordering physicians on site and easily accessible. Great schedule, "clinic hours": No call, weekends or holidays!

    Position Benefits:

    Compensation Details

    $275-375k

    Compensation Details: Generous federal benefits, adding 30% over salary to the compensation package. Competitive salary based on experience; regular salary increases and yearly cost of living adjustments. IHS loan repayment: $50,000/2 year term, can renew on a yearly basis. Public Service Loan Forgiveness - all remaining Direct Loans forgiven after 10yrs/120 payments. Excellent health benefits, with choice among multiple national plans.
