    Position Overview:

    Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Pulmonologist with specialized expertise in the diagnosis and management of Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in Pediatric Pulmonology and possess either significant experience or a strong desire to treat critically ill children with PH. This position offers the opportunity to work in the nation's leading training center for Pulmonary Hypertension, providing exceptional resources and support for professional growth and development.

     

    Job description:  

    Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire a full-time physician in Houston, Texas:

    ·       Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients with pulmonary hypertension.

    ·       Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including cardiologists, intensivists, and others, to provide comprehensive care for PH patients.

    ·       Conduct thorough evaluations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

    ·       Conduct outpatient clinics (2-3 days a week) to assess and follow up on patients’ progress, ensuring continuity of care, as well as attend to critically ill patients, managing acute exacerbations and complications of pulmonary hypertension in a hospital setting.

    ·       Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest advancements in Pulmonary Hypertension treatment modalities.

    Qualifications:

     

    ·       MD or DO

    ·       Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric pulmonology.

    ·       Fellowship trained in Pediatric pulmonology.

    ·       Preferably trained in a center of excellence for pediatric pulmonary hypertension.

    ·       Experience working in a pediatric medical center that serves complex patients with pediatric pulmonary hypertension.

    ·       Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to properly diagnose and manage complex patients.

    ·       Be well versed in the setting(s) of, NICU, PICU and Critical Care

    ·       Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
