  • The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Non-invasive Cardiologist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis in Austin, Texas. This role is integral to our specialty cardiology clinic, where the successful candidate will play a key part in delivering high-quality care to our veterans.

    Key Responsibilities: In this position, you will engage in a variety of cardiology services, primarily focusing on specialty clinic duties in Austin. Your responsibilities will encompass all modalities of echocardiography, including performing and interpreting transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). Additionally, you will be involved in EKG and event monitor interpretation, as well as conducting various types of stress testing. Weekend call duties will be based at our inpatient location in Temple, Texas, providing opportunities for collaboration with residents and fellows in a vibrant learning environment. Occasional assignments at other CTVHCS locations may also be required.

    Preferred Qualifications: We are seeking candidates who are board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease with a focus on non-invasive cardiology. Experience working closely with residents and fellows is highly preferred, as is board certification in echocardiography.

    Working Conditions: This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for extended hours and occasional weekend work as needed. Successful candidates must be willing to accommodate irregular hours and potentially be transferred to other related services or locations.

    Compensation and Benefits: At CTVHCS, we offer a competitive salary range between $270,000 and $348,000, alongside an annual performance bonus and regular salary increases. Our generous Paid Time Off package includes 50-55 days of annual leave, comprising 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, and 11 paid federal holidays, plus the possibility of a 5-day paid absence for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

    $300-350k
