    Your Role as Inpatient BHU Medical Director:

    As the Medical Director, you will be the clinical and administrative leader for the Adult Psychiatry service line, ensuring high standards of care. Key responsibilities include:

    • Quality Leadership: Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes and ensure excellence within the Adult Behavioral Health Unit (BHU).
    • Program Development: Contribute to the expansion and growth of the GME program, mentoring psychiatry residents and fellows.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, therapists, and case managers to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
    • Clinical Oversight: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans to optimize patient recovery.
    • Leadership in Crisis: Provide support during clinical escalations and emergencies.
    • Team Leadership: Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of psychiatry providers.
    • Virtual Care: Provide virtual outpatient psychiatric services when needed.

    What We’re Looking for:

    • Board Certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
    • Maryland licensure or willingness to obtain.
    • Leadership experience in psychiatric settings, ideally inpatient care.
    • Passion for improving care and advancing psychiatric services.
    • Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
    • Comfort with telehealth for virtual services is a plus.
